Realistic growth
In 1920, Johann Nepomuk Jerger founded the company to manufacture watch springs and turned parts. Due to the chaos of war, the company was not only forced to evacuate the entire production facility, but also to witness the decline of the regionally strong watch industry. The danger of depending on one industry was recognized early and Jerger's effective organization quickly oriented itself toward other industries after the war ended.
The current owner, Günter Jerger, who took over the company 20 years ago and now manages it together with his two sons, Ralph and Heiko, quickly realized that the future lies in modern production technologies. Being clever and foresighted, he recognized the trend toward automation and rapidly discontinued the use of the so-called single-spindle automatic lathe in favor of automated rotary indexing machines.

Although refined and optimized over the years, this principle remains the technological foundation for the impressive competitiveness of Jerger KG to this day. After orienting towards new industries and experiencing a sustained growth phase, the new production and administration building was constructed in 1990. This cleared the way for automated three-shift operation.
